There has been a rumor floating various D3 Forums around that people have found an exploit in the Real Money Auction House and Gold Auction House. This exploit allows buyers to switch the Bid Price and the Buyout Price of items, allowing them to buyout items for a lot less Gold/Money.
One person on the D3 forums claimed "Well my high ticket 50+mill item was hex edit exploit purchased for the amount of 2k gold and the GM staff are claiming they can do nothing about it." This player was answered with an automated message from Blizzard. Click Here For Full Forum Discussion.
There has not been any recent word of Blizzard fixing this problem, so the safest thing to do at this time is simply to not use the auction house. If it is in fact just a rumor, you should still make your Bid Price relatively high just in case this exploit happens to you.
Players have said that Blizzard delete the Forum threads created around this exploit. The link above is still active, but we will see if it gets deleted over the next few hours.
